When the sickness of a subordinate officer or

constable is caused by intemperance or is certified by a

Government Medical Officer to be due to venereal disease

which has become aggravated by concealment, or to sickness

or injury which is purposely self-inflicted, he shall be

provided with medical attendance, medical comforts, diet

and accommodation, but his pay shall be stopped for so long

as he is absent from duty.

18.

Sick leave up to a maximum of twenty-eight

year days on full pay in any numerical/may be granted to any

officer by the Inspector General of Police provided the

necessity for such leave is certified by a Government Medical

Officer. Absence from duty on Medical Certificate beyond a

period of twenty-eight days in any numerical year, except by

permission of the Governor will be treated as full pay, or

half pay leave or leave without pay as the case may be.

QUALIFICATIONS.

To be able to read and write.

Age to be not less than 21 and not more than 25 years of age

Minimum height 5 feet 8 inches.

Chest measurement 33 inches for 5 feet 8 inches (increasing
